D.I.Y Ombre Rainbow Nails!

Hey Lovelies!

Today I have sported to Ombre look...but on my nails.

Here is how I achieved the look :)

What you will need:
*Nail Varnish Remover
*Cotton pads and Cotton buds
*Base Coat and Top Coat
*The colours you wish to use for the Ombre (in this case I chose three, but you can use as many as you like!!)
*A small piece of sponge.

Step 1: Remove all unwanted nail varnish and dirt from your nails, file and neaten up if needed,

Step 2: Apply one layer of base coat to your nails, this makes you nail varnish last longer and acts as a protective barrier and stops the nail varnish from staining your natural nail. The base coat I recommend is OPI Natural nail base coat ( £10 ish )

Step 3: With the colours you have chosen for the effect, paint them on to the piece of sponge, slightly blending them into each other. The sponge I used in this tutorial is a bit I cut of from a large yellow household sponge (unused obviously) and it is about the width of two fingers. This allows you to enough sponge to mess with when pressing it onto your nail.

Step 4: Starting from one side of the nail lightly press down and slowly work your way across in one swoop. Without taking the sponge off your nail. Once applied your nails will look bubbly....this can look fun when your lucky, but if your not convinced...follow step 5! You will get nail varnish all over your fingers when doing this technique so be prepared with your remover and cotton buds to get to all the tricky places to neaten up your nails.

Step 5: To touch up the bubbly bits on your nails take the colours and lightly dab them on to your painted bits to create a bit more of a block colour. Try not to do it too much as this takes the whole effect of Ombre away and you may as well of just painted stripes across your nails!

Step 6: Once your happy with the result apply a thin layer of top coat. This will seal in all the colour, add an amazing shine and prevent chipping. The best one I have ever used is O.P.I Top Coat (again £10 ish).

Tadddaaaaaaa.....there you go...D.I.Y Ombre Nails!
Have a go your self and see what you think.

Glossy Box..June 2012...

Hey Sweet peas!

Hope you are well and getting the most out of this month so far, unfortunately probably not out enjoying the sunshine as there is very little about at the moment!

I have been lucky enough to have been away for the past week to Corfu, so my tans set up for the summer months now...I have prepared myself that we wont be getting much sun in the near future in England. Whilst I was away my June Glossy Box was delivered, so I had a lovely little box on my bed when I got home, and of course, it wasn't long until its contents were emptied on to my bed too along with my holiday clothes and a handful of sand that sneaked its way into my suitcase!

This month was a bit of a random mix of products, but great none the less. Its their 'holiday'/'summer vacation' box with items that are suitable to take away with you, with regards to size and weight, which is a fab idea....but obviously its not that exciting for me as I had already been away. BUT. They will each come in handy for my work bag and make-up drawer!

Eeeeeek!

BM BEAUTY Summer Warmth Bronzer
'Multi-purpose pure-mineral bronzer. Add a touch of summer warmth to your face.'
(Full Size £8.00/4g)

The only down fall about this sample is that is was TOO SMALL. Its a stunning product. The perfect bronzer that sits on your skin for hours. Im very excited about this product and Im actually going to wear it on my eyes too...The pigment is so rich and is easily build-able...its just such a shame its teeny tiny weeny!

You can just about see it in this picture so I do apologise, my skin is slightly darker at the moment but you can get a rough idea of how amazing it looks on your skin!

CAUDALIE Eaux Fraiches
'Refresh your senses with this invigorating and energising fragrances.'
(Full Size: £26.00/50ml)

THE perfect sample size for a perfume! This has already secured its place in my handbag for the summer and its so refreshing I cannot wait to use it! Its a very fresh zingy floral smell....if that makes sense...!?

HD BROWS Precision Tweezers
'For eyebrow maintenance at home or on the go, HD Brows Precision Tweezers are a must for every girls make-up bag.'
(Full-size: £19.95/per pair)
CAN I JUST SAY £20 FOR SOME TWEEZERS!!! HOW EXCITED AM I?!

Amazing amazing amazing. I cannot believe these have been put in this months glossy box! They are fab tweezers and really get into all the tricky places and pull out the trickiest of hairs! They are fantastic...

VICHY Dermablend Ultra-Corrective Foundation Cream Stick
'Vichy's expert camouflage foundation stick for minor to severe skin flaws.'
(Full-size: £19.00/12g)

I havn't really used any products like this before, I tend to just stick to the average concealer to cover up my blemishes and dark circles.

The good thing about this is that it can be used for minor and major skin flaws. I have a few scars on my neck from an operation when I was little and hate it when I see then in photos, so this could be a good product to use on hiding them maybe..?

The great thing about this sample is it comes with 6 diffrent shades...at the moment the SAND 15 suits my skin the most as it is tanned...but usually I'd probably be a mix of 12 and 14. They are easy to blend in to the skin and work just like a normal concealer, with the same texture.

And it comes with a handy how to guide....

Over all another great glossy box! I still cant believe I got the HD Brow tweezers...I feel like my birthday has come early this year! A whole month earlier ;)

Lots of love guys

Sleep- In Rollers...Amazing...

Hey Hey Hey!

Hope you are all well! This post is over due...I received these bad boys a couple of weeks ago but really haven't had the chance to sit down and review and photograph them.

My twitter news feed was SWAMPED with tweets about the latest craze, all the celebs seem to be using them and they are now starting to be replicated by other brands. These are the originals and were seen in shows such as TOWIE and DESPERATE SCOUSEWIVES. Now anybody that knows me knows that I am obsessed with the big bouncy blow dry and dark eye brows...and as soon as I could get my hands on these I nearly wet myself!

They came in an amazing pink envelope filled with even more pinkness. They are in a fab little carry bag thats brilliant to keep them tidy and out of the way when you need to and brilliant for when you want to take them away. We all know Velcro sticks to everything! You get 20 rollers and they are all as soft as anything...which really do make them perfect to sleep in. I found when sleeping in them, they did make my head itch, and i did spend a good hour trying to get comfortable and re-arranging my pillows. BUT they all stayed in and they did really work. I often fall asleep on a Saturday afternoon when getting ready for a night out, and my gosh...normal rollers hurt so much...but these really are ideal.

The photos below are from today. I have had them in for just under 4 hours, but even from these pictures you can see the impact you can get. They are amazing.

They are very lightweight and sit perfectly...I was quite surprised I could get 20 on my head!

The result after just under 4 hours... (so you can imagine what they are like over night!)

Over all I LOVE them...

The best investment I've had for my hair in a while.

COMING SOON....

EXTRA LARGE bun ring tutorial and review....SO EXCITED!
(this will be from a night out or possibly my holiday...)

Peace Out

Happy 1st Birthday Glossy Box! May Treats...

Hi Followers! I hope you have all enjoyed the jubilee bank holiday weekend! I haven't been lucky enough to celebrate with my family as I have been at work, but I have managed to catch small glimpses of the exciting things that have been happening. In between shifts I have been putting this post together for you because its way over-due!

I was so excited to receive my 2nd ever Glossy Box! Its so exciting when you get it delivered, theres just something so fun about finding out what luxury you have in there. And this one was special! To celebrate their 1st Birthday it came with a free gift to us! (I like those kinda birthdays, don't you?!) We got a free compact mirror...which I'm over the moon about as mine is on its last legs and I desperately needed to replace it!

Once again...I am amazed with May's Box! And its pale pink...so looks perfect in my room.

Products Included:

NOBLE ISLE Summer Rising Bath and Shower Gel
'An immaculate fragrance evoking the beginnings of summer. Noble Isle is a new British bath &body brand inspired by thee natural and cultural riches of the British Isles.

(sorry I forgot to rotate before I uploaded)
This bath gel is to die for. It fills the room with a lovely perfume and smells so rich. I think it may be too strong for some people, but I'm all over a perfumed bubble bath! A little goes a very long way unlike the cheaper bath gels you can get, I end up pouring half a bottle in to get alot of bubbles....well you don't need to with this. Its amazing.

OSMO Berber Oil (TM) Hair Treatment
'A luxurious revolutionary treatment for all hair types, providing transformational results
(Full size: £19.99, 100ml)

This a lovely product, I have seen OSMO products quite often at the suppliers for Hairdressing. I have occasionally used different serums of theirs and found them nice to work with. I have never used an oil on my hair before this. Its definatly different and trial and error is the way forward with this product. It doesn't come with an instruction for how much to use, it tells you how to use it but not how much, which I find bizarre. I assumed it wasn't a handful, but I did find it dried my hair quicker and left a gorgeous finish to it. However the next day....my hair was so greasy.....maybe not ideal every time I wash my hair and dry it.

APIVITA Express Beauty Masks
'The APIVITA express beauty masks exclude synthetic ingredients and replaces water with green tea infusion to enhance the antioxidant action.' (Full Size: £3.50 per sachet)

I'm afraid I havn't used these yet, I got two in the box, but I am waiting for the right time to use them. When I can relax and do a proper review on them, with regards to application and finish, so keep your eyes peeled :)

LOLITA LEMPICKA Eau de Parfum & Si Lolita
'Discover Lolita Lempicka's feminine world where Parisian chic meets fantasy fairy tale to create the perfect fragrance.' (Full Size: £65, 100ml for EDP £63, 100ml for Si Lolita)

I looooooooove these perfumes so much! Especially the one on the left...its literally a fairytale in a bottle, that is honestly the best way to describe it! The one on the right is gorgeous too, slightly more grown up in the sense its abit richer. I love them both and have already used up both samples...which makes me sad.. :( however Lolita Lempicka is now on my perfume must have list!

ELDORA False Eyelashes
'Eldora is about beautiful, quality and value priced lashes for any occasion.' (From: £3.90)

Now, these lashes are not the usual type I go for....they are quite thick and dense for me. However I love the little specks of glitter on them, its so pretty and feminine. I just wish they were a little lighter and feathery. BUT I will give them a chance...when the times right...maybe on my next big night out where I really have to glam up. Not badly priced either, but I do think you can tell they are cheaper lashes, they seem to have that very glossy black shine to them...a factor that usually steers me away from certain lashes.

And Finally Happy Birthday Glossy Box!!!!!!!!
xxXxx
